Our Activities and Partners

Each Discovery Day Camp program features a blend of unique in-house activities and partner-based offerings that keep campers engaged throughout the summer.

In-House Activities

Our Nature program integrates gardening as a core component, offering young campers the chance to connect with the natural world. Through hands-on gardening activities, children learn about plant life, sustainability, and the importance of environmental stewardship. Campers in the leadership program are given the added responsibility of guiding and mentoring their younger peers in this nature and gardening experience, fostering leadership skills and a deep appreciation for the environment. This holistic approach combines education, leadership development, and a love for nature in a multi-age camp setting.

Sports and Games for Junior campers encourages little ones to work together in a fun and supportive environment. Campers will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of exciting interactive games while learning valuable skills like teamwork and communication.

Sport for Youth campers offers an exciting opportunity to engage in a variety of sports and physical activities. From soccer and basketball to floor hockey and the more popular than ever, pickle ball, this program provides a well-rounded sports experience that promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Campers in this age group can develop their athletic skills, build self-confidence, and make lasting memories.

In our Arts and Crafts program campers will get the chance to explore a wide range of artistic activities, including painting, drawing, beadwork, and more, allowing them to express themselves through various mediums.

With age-appropriate guidance and materials, this program not only nurtures artistic skills but fosters a love for self-expression, making it a perfect summer camp activity for kids in our Junior and Youth program!

Swimming Program

Discovery Day Camp is excited to offer our swimming program with the help of the Lifesaving Society’s Swim for Life Program. Campers will have the opportunity to earn multiple badges throughout the summer.
The Discovery Day Camp swim program includes:
  • Lifesaving Society Preschool Program
  • Lifesaving Society Swim for Life 10 Level Program
Please note that the opportunity for campers to earn a swimming badge is available only to those enrolled in two or more weeks of our program. All campers will still have the chance to work on their skills and improve during lessons.
